The wellbeing of our members and everyone in the sector is crucial to everything we do at PACT, this page sets out some additional information on resources exclusively available to our members, including Live Wellbeing Sessions, recorded talks and how to reach out for additional support.

Live Wellbeing Sessions

We hold wellbeing sessions most months, these are advertised via the Facebook group or email, more details below.

In a world that can feel like we need to pour from an empty cup, taking a moment to refill is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.

Why Take the Leap?

Attending a group session provides a structured "pause button." It’s an investment in your future self, ensuring that you remain vibrant, resilient, and—most importantly—well.

Attending these sessions isn’t just about feeling better in the moment; it’s about longevity.

Benefits to meeting with like minded PACT folk

Skill Sharing: Groups often introduce practical tools for mindfulness and stress management that you might not discover on your own.

Perspective Shifts: Seeing your situation through the eyes of a supportive peer can help you spot the early warning signs of burnout before they become a crisis.

Latest Recoding: Mindful Self-Compassion - February 2026

Summary

Working with dogs and their people is hugely rewarding but it can also be emotionally draining. We often end up supporting our clients whilst balancing the practical elements of the job. This can lead to compassion fatigue and burnout.

Watch Lucy & Corrin in this recorded conversation where they explore practising self-compassion as a tool for navigating stress, exhaustion, and self-criticism at work. They discuss common & shared struggles, look at what self-compassion really is, and how it supports resilience and emotional regulation. They will talk about how to apply it in everyday moments, particularly when things feel overwhelming or you’re being hard on yourself.
