“Working in rescue I often see the dark side of dog ownership and many cases of dogs ending up in rescue have been the result of aversive or 'nothing in life is free' style approach to dog training. PACT showed me a beacon of hope for the dog industry and I want to be a part of supporting the nations pets and their guardians to try and prevent the need for relinquishment.”

“It's the gold-standard of dog training!" - my manager squealed as we both excitedly jumped around the office at our rehoming centre after I received a phone call to say I had been offered a scholarship with the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT).”

In 2025 the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) confirmed that the ABTC meets the high standards required for (ISO/IEC:17067). ABTC’s approach to standards that PACT must follow have now been independently verified as meeting an internationally recognised level of quality, consistency and fairness.
