  • Next year we will be announcing speakers, the keynote speaker for 2027 will be Ryan Cartlidge.

    Ryan (KPA CTP) is the founder of Animal Training Academy. For the past 13 years, he has been working as a professional animal trainer around the world,  including in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the US. He has trained teams, developed animal training programs, been published in leading industry magazines, spoken at international conferences and delivered presentations in a University on animal behaviour

    And through the Animal Training Academy, he connects hundreds of animal behaviour & training enthusiasts with a large (and growing) library of lessons and tutorials delivered by renowned animal experts.

  • The venue is fully accessible, with lifts and level access. A PA system is used for all talks with a hearing loop available. Before the event we reach out to all attendees to ensure we can make any reasonable adjustments, such as allocated parking, sign-language interpretation or space for assistance dogs.

  • Attendees who have the following documentation are entitled to one free carer ticket, the guest with the disability and any further members of their party will pay full price.

    Please show the relevant paperwork as well as suitable photo ID of the named recipient at the ticket office when you buy or collect your ticket/s. For proof of disability, please bring any ONE of the following forms of documentation:

    - Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book
    - Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of award
    Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
    - A valid Blue Badge
    - In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI)
    - A local authority registration document which is local to the attraction where it is being submitted
    - A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card
    -Credibility’s Access Card with +1 symbol
    - Disabled guests who have a specific need for a second helper/carer can request another free ticket, but will need to show that they have a need for a second carer by providing suitable proof, namely a letter from a school, GP or hospital consultant detailing why the second carer is required.

  • Ethics run all the way through PACT and Dogx is part of this.

    With Animal Welfare in mind, all refreshments and lunchtime food are plant based.

    Stallholders are also asked to only showcase activities that meet our Code of Conduct and high animal welfare standards.

    We actively take steps to reduce the environmental impact of this event and also offset carbon footprint for all attendees.

  • Dogx 2027 will be filmed and the recordings made available around a month after the event to all attendees and for purchase to the wider public.

    Dogx recordings currently cost £50 for the whole event, or £15 individually.

  • Whilst the University of Winchester now charge for parking, it will be free for conference attendees.

    There are limited parking spaces adjacent to the auditorium, these will to be prioritised based on need and must be booked in advance.

    Attendees are asked to park in the main university car park (SO22 4NP)

    A free shuttle service will transport attendees from the main University car park to the auditorium.

    When signing at the auditorium, drivers must register their car on the University tablet system to avoid a fixed penalty notice.
