Corrin Goodall
Corrin is involved in all aspects of PACT’s work, but you’re most likely to see her lecturing on the CTIC and in Wellbeing sessions.
With over 12 years of experience in the canine industry, Corrin has built a career defined by self-determination and a deep commitment to animal welfare. After leaving formal education at 16, Corrin took an unconventional path, building their expertise through hands-on experience and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. This has sparked a dedicated passion for supporting career changers and those returning to study. Corrin champions the Assessment of Prior Experience and/or Learning (APEL), ensuring that experienced trainers' hard-earned practical skills and knowledge are formally recognised and valued within the industry. A staunch advocate for a multimodal approach to canine care, Corrin actively works to foster a more integrated approach, bringing together trainers, behaviourists, and veterinary teams to ensure a holistic, collaborative standard of care for every dog.
Alongside their partner, Steve, they built and ran a highly successful training company in Hampshire for many years before passing the torch to their team in 2024 to focus entirely on the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT).
Now based in West Wales, Corrin serves as a Director at PACT and an ABTC Registered Animal Training Instructor. While their foundation is rooted in ethical canine training, they have developed a profound interest in the "other end of the lead"—the human student. As a qualified Mental Health First Aider, Corrin is dedicated to supporting the PACT community through wellbeing sessions and is currently furthering this passion by studying with the Open University.
When they aren’t advocating for canine wellbeing, Corrin embraces the "West Wales lifestyle." You’ll likely find them wild swimming, tending to an ever-growing collection of house plants, or out on a long walk with their two companions: Penny the Jack Russell Terrier and Peaches the Newfoundland.
